Brad Fanshaw is Guest Emcee for Gene Winfield Award at Syracuse Nationals

The $10,000 Gene Winfield Award from Meguiar's

Brad Fanshaw was asked to make an appearance at the Syracuse Nationals in Syracuse, NY this past July. An annual event the show draws close to 800 custom cars and trucks.

Fanshaw who not only signed autographs and took pictures also recorded his national radio show from the event. Street Rod & Custom Radio which is heard on 50 affiliates, iTunes, iHeart and Stitcher radio is an automotive powerhouse.

One of the big events at the Syracuse Nationals was is the Gene Winfield Award. The award is selected by custom car builder and industry icon Gene Winfield. He selects six vehicles earlier in the year and one is chosen for the prestigious award.

This year event promoters Bob O' Connor and Art "East Coast Artie" Schilling asked Fanshaw to host and Emcee the gala dinner and awards.

The overall winner David Warner won with a Stuedebaker pickup. The winner was awarded a beautiful trophy and a check for $10,000 presented by Meguiar's Car Care products.

Brad Fanshaw Filming Sizzle For New TV Show

Recently, Brad Fanshaw was in Los Angeles filming a sizzle reel for a new lifestyle/destination/automotive show.

The show created by Fanshaw is a fresh concept on the automotive hobby. The concept features the cars, people and destinations that you want to see. It is experiential and brings the viewer inside the action.

The shoot was the first in a series that is being both hosted and directed by Fanshaw. This included friend Barry Weiss and his wild Cadillac rod.

Shooting outside the world famous Dresden Restaurant in Hollywood, CA. The Dresden Room is most notable as the location for the 1996 film, "Swingers". The film that starred, Jon Favreau, Vince Vaughn and Heather Graham filmed here also. This show is a fantastic canvas to reveal how cars are used and enjoyed.

Brad Fanshaw Takes His Radio Show on the Road

Brad Fanshaw and his radio show, Street Rod & Custom Radio is on the road for the summer shows. His show that is syndicated by ERNLive.com is also available on iTunes, iHeart, Stitcher and the bonspeedbradfanshaw Facebook page each week.

Major automotive events have been booking his show to draw attention and get the celebrity word out about the automotive hobby.

Fanshaw brings his experience and notoriety to the show and also drags in his automotive and entertainment celebrity friends on the air!

Brad Fanshaw Takes Street Rod & Custom On The Road- RENO, NV

Brad Fanshaw's hit Radio Show/Podcast "Street Rod & Custom Radio" is hitting the road this summer with live broadcasts from various venues.

It began the weekend of May 30th in Reno, Nevada as the show promoters and the city booked Brad and his co-host Pete Chapouris from So-Cal Speed Shop to attend and broadcast LIVE!

The radio show and podcast has grown tremendously in the two and a half years since Fanshaw took over the show. Now syndicated in markets nationwide it is also available as a free podcast on iTunes. The show is consistently rated in the Top 25 podcasts in it's category.

The Spring show in Reno is actually a prelude to the 100,000 attendees and 6000+ cars that will be hosted in August. The August show "Hot August Nights" is spread over Reno, Sparks and Tahoe. The show also plays host to a Barrett-Jackson collectible car auction.

Did you know that Brad Fanshaw is business partners with his friend and rock legend Michael Anthony?

Yep, the pair had been friends for a years before becoming business partners. Anthony who is a founding member and bass player for Van Halen, now plays with Chickenfoot.





The band Chickenfoot was created by Sammy Hagar and Anthony with Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers) and Joe Satriani.

Fanshaw and Anthony own a number of businesses together, including Bonneville SWISS Watches and bonspeed Forged Wheels.

Each year the INDY Car series comes to Long Beach, California for a week of racing, parties and excitement. As part of the Grand Prix, Toyota produces a Pro/Celebrity race that pits a variety of actors, musicians and notables against each other in like Toyota cars.

This year Brad was invited to attend, not as a racer, but to see the event from inside the compond. There he could rub elbows with some old and new friends, while enjoying all the LBGP has to offer.

Brad Fanshaw Guests on Stevie D Show - On Actor's Entertainment Network

Normally, Brad Fanshaw is in front of the mic as a Radio/TV Host or as an Actor. Recently, however he was a guest on The Stevie D. Show "From The Trailer Park To The Sunset Strip". The show is part of the Actor's Entertainment Network.

The fun light-hearted show pokes fun at whatever it can. Stevie D. gave Fanshaw a chance to discuss his various business endeavours and varied background.

Stevie D. an avid car fanatic and Trans Am owner did talk cars with Brad and got in a few laughs.

Ink'd Look is new for Brad Fanshaw - So Look Close!

Brad Fanshaw has many interests including design, wrist watches, cars, racing, photography and travel.
You might have noticed that Tattoos were not one of the interests listed, that is because he does not possess a single line of ink on his body.

Despite what the photo will lead you to believe, Fanshaw has no ink!

The elaborate photoshop masterpiece was completed by master Art
Director, Richard Martin for a photo shoot. Martin even integrated Fanshaw's interests in the ink design.

Fanshaw did not have to endure long hours, blood or pain for this ink. It did get him thinking about what he might look like with some tattoos.

Now if that cyber-tat could go with him he might keep it around, just not permanently.

Recently, when the pair were hanging out talking adventures, cars, bikes and TV, Weiss asked why Fanshaw was yet to score another TV show of his own?

Without much jabber jawing, Weiss grabbed a pen and without any paper decided a paper towel would work. He declared that Brad needed a personal recommendation!

The film which will be in limited release in September 2013 reveals the real life story of Don Prudhomme, "The Snake" and Tom McEwen, "The Mongoose".

New Book "Sensory Overload" Chronicles Street Machines Nationals - Brad Fanshaw Pens Forward

In the late 1970's and through the 1980's the Pro Street movement was the hottest thing going in car customization. The style of cars were following the lead of the NHRA Pro-Stock class of professional drag racing. The trend was spurred on by Car Craft Magazine and it's Publisher Harry Hibler and the editors such as Jeff Smith.

The muscle cars built in this style began as homage to the Pro Stocks and had huge rear tires, mountain motors and tubular chassis. As the style became wilder and wilder Car Craft even promoted an event, The Street Machine Nationals. It was this event where Fairground cruising style shows had there beginning.

As the years passed the cars became more detailed, colorful and then became Sensory Overload.

Along the way many of today's top builders look back at these events and Pro Street cars as where they got a start.
Toby Brooks new book recalls the tails of many noted builders and winners from the days when The Street Machine Nationals was the place to be each summer. The book highlights numerous award winners and their cars.

Brooks asked Brad Fanshaw to write the books Forward. Asked to bring his own personal reflection on the days at the Car Craft Street Machine Nationals. The book is available in soft cover and was published to coincide with Car Craft Street Machine Reunion in DuQuoin, Illinois. Brad was in attendance with other noted legends and he was driving a 770 horsepower Challenger suitable for the event.

The Car Chasers Premiers March 5th at 10pm on CNBC

The Car Chasers is a new reality series that is part of the CNBC Prime line-up. The Car Chasers will premier on March 5th at 10pm ET/PT. Here is a sneak peak at the show features a Lubbock based team that searches for cars, buys them, fixes them and flips them.

Fanshaw is a Consulting Producer on the show and lent his automotive expertise.

SPEED TV Re-Airing Episodes of Car Warriors Season 2

SPEED network is currently re-airing episodes of Car Warriors season 2. Brad Fanshaw is the technical co-host on the show.

The twelve episode series places two teams of car builders in a challenge to build like cars in a 48 hour race. The cars must be fully customized and then compete in a road challenge.

Fanshaw guides the teams through the 48 hour challenge and provides expert technical commentary throughout the shows.

SPEED TV is currently airing the show on Thursday nights.
